DeltaPlus GelPods™ are designed to fit into the outer ear and to be held in place by the force of the headband. Unlike a regular earplug the GelPods™ are not seated in the ear canal. This construction offers a comfort advantage to some users, who do not like the feeling of having anything inserted into the ear canal. An ear pod has the tendency to be more comfortable than a canal cap, but the canal cap generally provides higher attenuation.
