To ensure maximum readiness and longevity, this complete deployment system includes the hard plastic protective liner and heavy-duty nylon duck carrying case alongside the fire shelter. This complete setup provides immediate deployment capability and long-term storage protection.

SPECS:

• Woven silica laminated to an aluminum foil outer shell; fiberglass laminated to an aluminum inner layer.
• Meets all applicable USFS specifications.
• When compared to the original fire shelter, the new generation has an 81% reduction in temperature rise, a 97% reduction in heat flux, and is stronger and more durable.

Sizing Guidelines:

To ensure quick, safe deployment on the fireline, firefighters must carry the correct shelter size based on height and body girth (the largest circumference of the body).

• REGULAR SIZE: Order if you are under 5’7” (with girth under 53”).
• USFS Safety Note: Official U.S. Forest Service (USFS) wind-tunnel trials show that shorter firefighters struggle to control and hold down the large shelter in high winds.
  
• LARGE SIZE: Order if you are over 6’1” OR if your girth is over 53”.
• Fit Note: The extended length and wider footprint ensure larger individuals fit completely inside without pressing their head, feet, or body directly against the hot outer shell.
• REGULAR OR LARGE SIZE: Order either if you are between 5’7” and 6’1” (with girth under 53”).
• Fit Note: Firefighters in this mid-range overlap fit both sizes comfortably and can choose based on personal preference.
