The Supply Cache was founded by two wildland firefighters, Jim and Diane Felix. The Supply Cache, Inc. started with a one-page brochure with ten products in the fall of 1990. The company grew rapidly and our first catalog was produced in June of 1991. The Supply Cache's web page, www.firecache.com, went online in 1994. In September 2004 we moved into our very own building, complete with a showroom and 8000 square feet of warehouse.
As we prevail upon 19 years of business, we are expanding our current products, adding new lines in response to customer requests and growing our presence across the country. Our goal here at The Supply Cache is to be able to outfit fire crews and all risk responders with quality products at an affordable price. We strive to continue to have excellent delivery time as we closed the 2009 year with 75% of our sales shipping within 24 hours of order placement.
We have begun integrating USAR equipment into our perpetually increasing variety of wildland firefighting equipment. Fire crews are now faced with, not only the job of fighting forest fires, but are also being called into action with Homeland Security. This broadens the wildland firefighting community's assignments vastly. As the fire communities, disaster relief, USAR and urban interface crews converge, the need for multifunctional equipment is in high demand. Having these types of provisions is one of our objectives here at The Supply Cache. We choose top quality manufacturers who are willing to expand their product lines into these areas of diversification as well. Being your first choice for wildland fire and USAR equipment is important to us. Remember, provide for safety first, and then fight fires aggressively.
